MINER COLLECTION UPDATE:
Next Saturday, August 10, from 9am until 1pm there will have a truck in the parking lot of Historic Saint Paul Church, West Short Street, next to the Opera House, for people to drop off supplies that will be distributed to the miners in Bell County. The miners in Bell County have to go to Harlan to pick up supplies; taking supplies to Bell County will be greatly appreciated.
Supplies needed – non perishable food – toiletry items – school supplies for children – laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, bleach – and, very importantly, pray for a just resolution even as we work for one.
Lexington UNITED Interfaith Encounters, Historic Saint Paul Catholic Church, LGBT Ministry Lexington, in partnership with Catholic Charities, is making this outreach possible. NO Funding is collected … only goods as noted above.
