Dear Friends and Fellow Parishioners,
Beginning on Monday, January 4, at the noon Mass, I will begin celebrating Mass again at Pax Christi. I have been feeling stronger and healthier in the last few weeks. And I believe that returning to a limited, part time schedule of work will only speed up my recovery.
Fr. Hehman and I will begin to return to the traditional schedule. I will have Mass on Mondays and Thursdays. Father Larry will have the Tuesday and Friday Masses. After the first couple of weeks Father Larry and I will rotate with Father Larry having one Mass each weekend.
I am not yet fully recovered. I still grow tired as the day goes on. Therefore, it is still important that I protect myself from the possibility of any infection. I must be strict about keeping the proper distance from other people. I will not be able to have extended in person contact with people. I may be tired after Mass and so may not be around to greet people as they leave. But I so look forward to being with you all.
I will also begin spending time in the office most days, for one or two hours at first, slowing re-engaging with the activities and programs of our parish life.
I think it is best that I not be involved in the busier demands of the Christmas holiday schedules. I will miss celebrating Christmas Mass with you. So let me now wish you a most blessed Christmas. May you feel Christ’s presence truly alive in your hearts and homes. The New Year promises great renew of life and of hope. I look forward to sharing that new life with you.
Peace & Joy,
