ABOUT THE TOPIC: This Parish Mission will examine ten fundamental virtues which have always illuminated the path to a better life: love, honesty, morality, civility, learning, forgiveness and mercy, thrift and industry, gratitude, optimism, and faith. The gifts of marriage and family are the twin guardians of this virtuous life. All of these virtues are to be found in the Scriptures and exemplified in the lives of the early American Founders. They are the light for a brighter future.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Fr. Gallagher is a member of the Capuchin Franciscans. He hold advanced degrees in Religious Educaton, Ascetical Theology, and 19th century British Literature. He literature degree has earned him a reputation as a scholar in the works of John Henry Cardinal Newman. He is also a graduate of the Great Books Program at St. John’s College (Annapolis/Sante Fe).
