Parish Council Nominations

Now is the time to nominate yourself or someone you know to serve our parish on our Pastoral Council.  The Pastoral Council is the Advisory Board to the Pastor of a parish.  We have several openings for this next year.   Nominees for Pastoral Council must be baptized, confirmed, practicing Roman Catholics in good standing with the Catholic Church. They must be registered and active members of the parish for at least one year.

Fr Pat considers the work of the pastoral council to be very important in helping to guide the life and the future of our parish. Now may be the time for you or someone you know to become more deeply involved with the parish.   This is a wonderful opportunity to be the voice of the parish as we move forward toward a more normal parish life.

Members of the Pastoral Council serve a three-year term, meet once a month and serve as liaisons to committees within the parish.  If you feel called to serve the parish in this way, or know someone you would recommend, please contact Bax McClure at baxm2306@gmail.com or Tom Woods at tdwoods49@gmail.com, for more information and to receive a nomination form.

Forms are due in no later than June 1, 2021.  Please mail them to Pax Christi, 4001 Victoria Way, Lexington KY 40515 or drop them in the offertory baskets located near the exit doors in the Gathering Space.  If you have any further questions, please contact Father Pat at pstewart@cdlex.org.

Solemnity of Saint Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Vigil Mass May 18th at 6:30 PM in honor of all Fathers

You may be aware that Pope Francis has designated this The Year of Saint Joseph.  We would like to celebrate this feast with all our families.  We will have a special Mass for his feast day to honor all of our fathers.  To make it easier for our families to attend we are having a vigil Mass on Thursday, the 18th of March at 6:30 p.m.  This will be a special occasion to bless our fathers and for our fathers to dedicate themselves to their families.

To arrange the chairs in church to create a safe environment for our families, we will need you to reserve seats. Please follow this link to the reservation site exclusively for this Mass.

Please complete your reservation by noon on March 17th so we can prepare the seating accordingly.
We hope you will find this a meaningful event and a safe way to join with other families for a blessed time of worship. We hope to see you there.
